Running the latest version (1.9.3 I think) of the FB app on my GSM GNex. It appears to be quite random in battery usage, but when I saw it sucking 29% this morning on the battery usage panel, that was the last straw. Uninstalled.
WTF is wrong with the FB app that makes it suck so much battery?
I had the refresh set to "Never". I turned off all location services (messenger, nearby friends, etc). Logged out of chat/messenger.
Some days, it would not even register on the battery usage panel, most days though between 7-14%. Today was like 29% and I hadn't even used it. For some reason, it runs in the background. Showed like 30sec cpu foreground, but like 33 min cpu total. Wtf??
I've had it with this poorly written/coded app. There's been like 4 updates in the past couple weeks alone, yet it doesn't get better. We'll see if the 'Report' button (when you click an app in the battery panel) does anything.
Since the web app is running pretty good, that's what I'll use. I have a shorcut on my homescreen, so it's almost like using the app. Just a tad slower.
