ok.... So how do you poke or even send a private message from the app itself???

Upper right hand corner next to the search icon, there is a little dialogue icon. Tap it.

I dont have that. When I open it initially, I see a search icon with a keyboard to the left of it. once I open someones page, it disappears...

but when I clickit, the keybard simply pops up
