Facebook app

I have the newest Facebook app for Android updated recently. The reason I uninstalled it the first time was because I would always hit refresh and it would not give me the newest updates in the feed. If I went to Facebook mobile site, I would see these updates but not in the app. Can someone tell me why or a fix before I uninstall it? Because otherwise it's a nice app.

I just use touch.facebook.com and stuff the app myself...

This is because I find that is a fuller site and can do more than on the application.
