Does the Facebook app kill battery even when you're out of it and you cleared from the overview mode multitasking window? I've started using it since I have a Moto 360 but I'm curious.

Yes because it's always accessing background crap. I uninstalled it and use the website, night and day on my battery.

I fired the fb app several weeks ago and it made a world of difference. Not only is my battery life better, but now I'm not constantly checking fb. I'm free!

Yeah I just deleted it again as well. I'll see if I have any battery improvements as well.

Facebook and Instagram apps are well-known battery killers. For me, the bigger offender was Instagram. Once I removed the app, the battery life skyrocketed. Now I only access Facebook and Instagram through the browser.

What time I do something, it's interesting because I have the old APK file for Facebook version 2.2 application. Downloaded it and stalled it love it. It has Facebook Messenger built inside the app vs. Being in another Standalone app that kills battery it's not memory or resource intrusive and it's not the battery hog, so it's a win-win situation.
