Facebook contact spam issue

So I just got my DX yesterday and wanted to sync the accounts but all my friends who weren't in my address book were put in there and it makes my contact page a mess. Can I sync and have the pictures linked to the profile without all the spam on my contacts list added?

syncmypix app will do it in the market, itll sync just pictures.

there is no other way to do it with the standard blur/facebook app.
