Facebook for Android

I just got a replacement Eris, I had some issues with text messages on my original handset. I can't get my contacts to link with Facebook on my new phone.

I have tried going to my contacts and clicking "Link" when I click Facebook though it tells me no matches were found, this is the point where I used to just get the list of my Facebook friends and I could choose to link a contact with a friend. I don't know what else to do, I don't see a setting anywhere that can fix this problem.

Can anyone help?

Go to Menu -> Settings -> Accounts and Sync

Check to see if your Facebook profile is linked. If you don't see it, hit Add Account.

I tried this option and it still did not sync. Any other suggestions other than returning phone to VZW?

Give it a while, usually it takes some time for the contacts to sync up, At least with mine I waited overnight and in the morning everyone was synced up.

I have done this several times, and even removed the account and added it again. It still will not sync. Any suggestions?

There seems to be a problem with HTC Sync and Facebook that cropped up last week.

We're just going to have to wait for Facebook and/or HTC to fix whatever is broken.

I called Verizon and they said there isn't a problem with anything. They told me it must be my device and I am getting a replacement. The second one in a week.

As sometimes happens, Verizon is clueless about these things.
