Facebook killing my wife's contacts

She hates smart phones and wouldn't take the DINC and said the x is to big. This is the perfect phone for her except Facebook took out her contacts that didn't have an account. I looked at all the settings and couldn't find anything to resolve the problem. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

go into contacts. Hit the menu key, check display options. Make sure "Google/gmail account" is the one selected. If could also be in settings under sync.

The android facebook app is evil.
