Facebook Long install time

Every time I update Facebook it takes a very long time to install the update. The update will download just fine but the install process takes at least 2 minutes each time. I've tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling the app. Does this happen to anyone else? Any suggestions?

Yeah -- their app is just awful.

I just timed it recently and it took 2 minutes 23 seconds to install. That is just insane.

I've been having the same problem ever since I got my Moto X Play. I suspect this is only happening on some Moto devices.

I just recently deleted the Facebook app and am now using chrome to open Facebook. I wish Android had a good suitable replacement for the app. IOS had an app called paper and it was just awesome. The last straw was whenever I would go to search for someone on the Facebook app I would start typing and all of a sudden the page would refresh on its own and I wouldn't be able to use the search function. I've tried several of the keyboards that I have installed and so I know it wasn't the keyboard that was causing the issue.

I wish mine was as quick as yours. Im on my fourth attempt this evening and my current try is on 18 minutes and counting

The Facebook install on my old HTC M7 was diabolical. It would sometimes take up to 15 - 20 minutes. It sometimes even crashed my phone requiring a restart. It's about 2 minutes on my nexus 6p now. Poor app.
