Facebook messenger app issue! could not start messenger?

Ok facebook messenger does work but as soon as I leave the app and try to access it again from the multitasking window, I get that dialogue message that says could not start messenger. This happens literally any time the app is accessed from the multitasking button. I've tried easy stuff like clearing the app cache, uninstalling/reinstalling, etc. Any suggestions on this?

Are you using Chat Heads? If so, that's the issue. Try disabling Chat Heads.

I did still didn't fix it and i tried Facebook messenger app on about 5 other note 5s and same issue.

That's odd, because I'm going in and out of mine (Note 5, T-Mobile) and have no issues except if I try to go back to a chat head.

I was able to get it to happen a couple of times. Mainly when I opened several other apps then tried to go back to messenger. Instead of reloading the app it would give that error... not every time though.
