Facebook messenger error! Could not start messenger?

Ok facebook messenger does work but as soon as I leave the app and try to access it again from the multitasking window, I get that dialogue message that says could not start messenger. This happens literally any time the app is accessed from the multitasking button. I've tried easy stuff like clearing the app cache, uninstalling/reinstalling, etc. Any suggestions on this?

I uninstalled it and updated it and still when i try to open it from the running running windows tab ut says couldnot start messenger.

I just use the Facebook app that came with my s6 edge plus no need for the messenger app

You should try updating the app, sometimes due to some changes it creates bugs

Do you like msger??? If not just use the app Uninstall the messenger update an you can use the fb app

I do use the facebook app but when i want to message people it asks to use fb messenger

You have to go to Facebook messenger in the play store an Uninstall the updates
