Facebook messenger kills my battery

I noticed this mooring while having a conversation on messenger that my battery went from 80% to 50% in exactly 1 hour. I want doing anything else, I was on WiFi but no internet surfing, no changing apps, just messaging. That seems a bit much for a simple task like messaging.

That app can cause many issues. If you do use it a lot, I suggest turning off chat heads.
