Facebook News feed issue - Fascinate

I recently upgrade to the facebook ver 1.6.0 and have started having issues with the news feed. 8 out of 10 times when I open it I get the message no internet connection try again. I can access all other face book options it is only the news feed that is giving me this message.

Anyone else experience this issue? Any ideas what I can to to prevent it? Occurs via 3G or Wi-Fi connection. I have a samsung fascinate.
