Facebook not notifying me of updates

Neither the facebook for mytouch or the facebook app are sending me a notice when I get a message or anything. I have it set to LED, vibrate and a sound in the facebook app. Should I try something else? Any have an idea?

Def still not working. When I open it loads my wall. Then back out and it will then load notifications. I want it to notify me like a text does or how my bb used to. Any ideas anyone?

I will tell you from experience, I had the Nexus One before, its just an Android thing. The facebook application made for it isn't the best. Honestly, I like the iPhone's FB app when I used that phone and I liked the BB FB app when I used that phone. For some reason, the app does not see notifications the same as the notifications when you log on to facebook. It usually notifies you if you receive a message in your inbox, but if someone comments on your status or activities similar in such nature, it does not seem to want to notify you of that sort on Androids...at least in my experience, this is what has happened on the Nexus One and MT4G (iPhone and BB FB apps responded well...)

Facebook for Android is not very good in the notification area. Alot of improvement needed on that. I have mine set to get emails for everything.

Ok just making sure it wasn't something that I was doing wrong. I'll mess will email notifications then and see what I can come up with. Thanks for the responses.

Yes its the Facebook app itself. It does not send push notifications to android and its one of the biggest complaints on the boards. I use TweetDeck and it does a good job for me to read my newer wall posts and it can send me notifications when I receive new posts but still not as good as Apple's & Blackberries.

My Facebook app isn't notifying me when I'm tagged in posts. Everything else works fine. Any fixes?
