Facebook notification sound

So i bought a new phone, a Redmi Note 11s (Android 13). Downloaded Facebook messenger app. Now I don't know what the issue is but it seems like whenever you try to customize the notification sound, when you swipe to close the app. The sound reverts back to the default ding sound. Has anyone experienced this with different phones. Hope someone can give me an idea on what to do to fix it. Reason I change the notification sound is to help me differentiate my email and txt message.. Helpful tips are very much appreciated

That is a common issue when restoring apps from a backup in Samsung phones, but haven't tried a Redmi one so don't know if that could happen too. What fixes it in Samsungs (and have you tried it), is to uninstall the app and re-install it. You'll know if it worked if in the app's notification options you see an 'App provided sound' option or not.
