My notification sounds ie. everything from when someone posts a reply to something I comment on, to the sound made when I post reactions, suddenly seem a lot louder, too loud, and I can't work out how to change it back to normal. I thought lowering the volume on the notifications volume slider would do the trick but it hasn't! I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the Android 11 update I installed on my S10 a few days ago, but I don't seem to remember the Facebook notification sounds being so loud before

Can anyone please help?

If you mean the physical volume button on the left hand side of the phone, then no it doesn't lower it.
Yeah thats what I mean , so something going on with Facebook that you control its volume, try force stopping Facebook and see if things return back to normal.

Not only loud, on s10+ I use headphones and you can hear it outside of headphones. It doesn't stay in ear. It's like you don't even have headphones on.

I used to use browser but it's terrible, now. And they don't allow you to use FB messenger on it ... which you Could. Not now.

Of course they'll make it so you pretty much have to install the app.... that way it can wind it's tendrils deep into your phone ;)

I have the same problem with my Galaxy S10 phone, and I also noticed it shortly after the upgrade to Android 11. In fact, I think it's Android 11 and not the Facebook app, because I also have the Facebook app on my Galaxy tablet, which is still running Android 9. Clicking on a "like" on the tablet is MUCH less annoying than it is on the Android 11 phone. What really annoys me is that I can't find anything in either Settings (Android's or Facebook's) where I can turn the noise off.

Same, I can’t find it.

I find the settings on FB, Twitter, ect. have all been so difficult to find now-a-day, you can do much of anything you want.

They really should be so much more straight forward, all of them, and SO much easier to find.

Between their settings and the android settings omfg
It's too much

Oddly, in the last few days I've found that clicking Facebook "like" on the phone is less annoying than it was. No explanation.
