I am coming from a Blackberry and I loved being notified immediately of new facebook notifications. Is it true that the Thunderbolt is unable to offer this same feature? I have been trying to figure out how all day long.

Help!!!

Yes, I want to know too. If it doesn't, I think I may return it and go back to my BB Bold until something better comes along...

The TB has an app / Widget called Friend Stream. Log into your Facebook account (and / or Twitter) and you will receive your updates. You can filter the updates when you open the app - options are: All Updates, Status Updates, Photos and Videos, Links, Lists, and Notifications.

It's supposed to be able to do it. The Facebook app on Android is loads of crap and fail, so it really depends on how lucky you are. It isn't the phones fault, it isn't Android's fault, it's Facebook's fault.

FriendStream might be better with notifications though, I'm not sure.

People have no life that they need to know as soon as something happens on FB wow lol

If you don't have anything constructive to input, please keep comments like that to yourself. Respect others and they will respect you.

Fair enough. People should really research before making a purchase though. Just sayin

I have had this problem with notifications on my Evo as well. This is what I did to kinda fixed it. (1) Make sure your mobile number is added to your account(you can check this by going into settings - notifications) by using the full site. (2) Use your Google account as your primary contact - as well as check off both mobile and email notifications.
Ps. This isn't guaranteed - but it work for me.

Best of luck.
