Facebook Status Sync

I have a question regarding the Facebook Status of your contacts. In the contact screen, if a contact changes their facebook status, does it change on your phone contact screen also. I know that if they change the facebook picture it changes, but the facebook status is not. Should it???

Do you have your sync set up so that it always runs in the background? If so, I believe it should be constantly refreshed.

Yes, the SYNC is set to run in the background. I also checked and it shows the last sync was done at 5/6/2011 at 8am. Though all the statuses last update shows 3/10/2011, that is when I got the phone.
