facebook zynga games

Hi all
Does anyone know if the zynga facebook games like cityville or frontierville will play with the adobe flash update on a xoom which has not been rooted? Thanks.

I know Mafia Wars works on my Evo so I think those two should work as well.

I would be interested to know this as well - how well Facebook games work in the Xoom? The kids have pretty much taken over the iPad and if I get another tablet, the wife and I would like the ability to play these games.

I loaded Frontierville on mine yesterday however it ran really slow.

Maybe frontierville works slow because the Xoom doesn't have enough RAM. I notice that it runs really well on my laptops that have more ram memory versus my netbook which only has 1gig of memory.

Being unable to successfully run the zynga games witjhout the frustration of them running slow would be a reason not to buy a Xoom or any other tablet that does the same. I'm waiting for one that will be powerful enough to run the animated zynga games like frontierville and cityville and not just mafia wars which really doesn't do anything.

I too was hoping the Xoom would run frontierville with no problems..would be nice if the ram was expandable lol....anyway the only tablet that I know of that can run any facebook games is the Asus Ep121...it costs $1000 has an I5 processor...2gb of DDR3 ram! ! But the sad part is the battery life is only 3 hours..maybe 4 if you're lucky..Other than that I don't think any tablet coming out this year can run facebook games.I was hoping a Tegra 2 dual core processor would have no problem rendering those games.

ugh, so this is across the board agreement? No farmville on my (soon to be) xoom?

I don't get why those games take so much power to run, even my 4gb duo core laptop runs hard playing those things.

because they arent optimized at all, for any platform.

yep i figured that they aren't tablet optimized.Heck even my desktop computer with it's I5 processor takes a few seconds to load facebook games.

I haven't got the app because I don't have an android yet. Maybe someone else can answer that question. I'm only repeating what I've read in many many websites.

That's exactly what the saleslady at Best Buy said--that the android tablets aren't optimized for Zynga games.

I find the phrasing here amusing. The thought that hardware had to be optimized for a single companies game that runs in a browser makes me laugh a bit. Zygna games, while fun to play, are some of the worst coded software you will find. Whether that's because of inherent shortcomings of flash based games or lazy developers remains to be seen.
