I have the facebook app installed on the phone ofcourse. Before the 2.2 update, I would have a FB blue/white icon come up at the top of the screen like when i recieve text or email. Now nothing comes up when someone writes me or comments on my status. I do get the email notification saying someone commented but nothing directly linked to FB. Just wondering if anyone had this issue other than me.

Also, when i am on my desktop and get a notification that someone commented on something, there is about a 5-6 minute delay until it shows up on my phone. Is this normal?
Phone is stock with the exception of about 5 little apps like FB, flashlight, gesture search, anti virus and something else.

Im still trying to figure this thing out and get it customized to best suit my using style.

I'm pretty sure the FB app doesn't update any sooner than every 30 minutes. You have to go into the app setting to choose that. Its set to an hour by default. You can also select which notifications you receive.

The facebook app has never done notifications for status comments. The only time I see a notification with the blue facebook icon is when I get a friend invite or when someone sends me a private message.

How can I select which notification i receive? I get an email and a Facebook notification. I would just like the Facebook one

Go to Facebook (on your computer is easier). Under ACCOUNT -
ACCOUNT SETTINGS - NOTIFICATIONS .... uncheck the ones you don't want email notifications for. I was being bombarded with emails until I turned them ALL off.

Because the facebook application for android has never alerted you as to of a comment or notification, only PM's and friend requests.
