Hi guys,
Just bought my droid inc 2 and it's my second smart phone ever, so i'm not very savvy. i was trying to read up on how to get rid of factory installed apps and hear 'rooting' is the only way to do it. so, i tried figuring out how to do that and all the explanations i found so far are confusing me. guess i don't know much tech-y lingo so can some one help me out by telling me how to, in plain english? much appreciated!

Have you checked out the temp root thread? It's not that difficult. With BloatFreezer you can at least move the bloat out of the way. s-off has just been released in beta - this is required before you can permanently root. It's also not too difficult but may not be for the faint of heart. With permanent root you can really remove the bloat.

The apps that freeze can also delete system apps. Do you know which apps are necessary to keep the phone able to update? I know of course it will need the main system ones but deleting bloatware like NFL, NFS, Skype, Golf, Slacker and other apps like that are fine to be deleted right?
