With Marshmallow on the horizon for the Note 5, I thought I would ask the more experienced folks here: Do you generally do factory reset after a major software update or would clearing the cache Partition suffice?

Thanks for your time.

I've never done a factory reset after any major update upto this day. Haven't had a single problem *touchwood*
Cache wipe is a good idea but factory reset would erase everything on the device. If there isn't a problem why do a factory reset?

I do for sure.

After an update you sometimes's don't realize the full potential of the update if you don't.

IE the battery may be performing the same as before but marshmallows optimization isn't functioning properly which could give you better than before performance.

I always reset and its a good time to get rid of apps I don't use on a regular basis anymore.
