Factory Reset and Caches

I am in the process of unlocking the bootloader on my Rezound and was wondering if the Factory Reset that will be done also clears the caches on the phone. I searched and could not find an answer. I figure if I am starting over I may as well clear everything. Thanks in advance for the help.
