So, I upgraded to zvh (via v9 recovery) and unrooted (will reroot soon) and i heard a factory reset can increase performance, and i want to do one anyways. My problem is that i have the "new lcd" and i cannot see the recovery screen. Will resetting through settings>privacy brick me at this point? If so, what is the button "combo" for successful resetting?

The most recent ZVH rooting post doesn't have an LCD issue anymore.

You can do Privacy reset without issues as long as you have the stock recovery, which it appears you have.

That is correct. Following the former zvh rooting method i did the factory reset within the android privacy settings with no problem. As long as you havent flashed a custom recovery yet, there is no problem. And if you have flashed one like xionia just do it from recovery at wipe data/factory reset. Good luck. Sfhub does know whst he is talking about. He should, be built the methods lol.

The Xionia provided in the ZVH rooting thread is also compatible with factory reset from within Android.
