Factory reset question

I am having some random performance issues and battery drain lately. I think it is time for a factory reset. Any advice before I do it? I have backed up the device to Kies.

Back it up to Kies, you will also want to make sure under Settings that you have things properly sync'd to your GMail account so you don't loose anything important that is stored on that device regarding your contacts and other related Google apps.

I would pull any other files you don't want to lose just in case, then go through with it.

I don't think its required, but to be safe, why not?
