Factory Reset wiped my Apps from AppBrain

It should not do that, you should contact there tech support. This is why they there for, it is very strange.

The "apps on phone" list is tied to the phone as master.

Before you wipe phone, copy the apps onto another "list"

Wipe phone. Install appbrain. Then copy backup of apps list back to "apps on phone" list.

Yeah, what GumboChief said is correct; you need to save your apps on appbrain to a different list than "apps on my phone" because when there are NO apps on your phone and you sync to it...ABRACADABRA! Everything is gone!

I didn't know this either. Learned the hard way. As a result I stopped using it. It was a pain, and surprise, indeed.

Yep, I reset my phone yesterday, but copied the apps to a new list that I named "Backup". Once the reset was complete, I copied the "Backup" list to the "Apps on my phone" list and blam-o, all good.

I too am experiencing this. Did a factory reset last night and installed appbrain first thing from the market. Ran a sync and nada! Jeez! When I go to the web site and go to My Apps>Apps on the phone, there are all of my app, but the only option is uninstall! So now appbrain thinks that all the apps that I want are already installed and there is no way, from appbrain to get them back onto the phone. Pretty lame...
