I had to do a factory reset on my Android powered Motorola G Power because of alleged corruption. I understood that I would lose some files and I was OK with that. I did the reset and after, could not recognize my phone at all. It behaved like an Apple Smart phone which I hate the way they operate.

It is almost impossible for me to change screens. I swipe right, left, up, down and all over with limited success. I know it takes a feather touch but I still find it difficult to navigate. Most often, I have to press the off button and start over. The three buttons that used to be at the bottom of the screen are gone. My other objection is that Google is everywhere and seems to be part of just about all functions.

I am very disappointed in the end result of a factory reset.

A factory reset wouldn't have installed anything new. It would, however, revert any changes in Settings or additional apps you may have installed. Sounds like, for the navigation issues, your phone either has an 'easy mode' enabled or navigation type set to 'gestures' rather than buttons. Also, if you were using a 3rd party launcher (like Nova), the factory reset would go back to Motorola's original UI, which may differ on how things work compared to what you're used to.

Welcome to Android Central! Quite a few phone manufacturers use Google's apps as default, and Motorola is one of them. So you'll see apps like Google Photos, Google Messeages, and Google Files as preinstalled apps. If you don't like them, you should be able to uninstall some of them (but probably not all of them, since certain ones may be integral to the Android system). Keep in mind that although base Android is open source, the consumer-facing Android version is a Google product.
