So I got my Evo today it ran the new update on to it. So far no luck on getting 4G even though my area has it, while talking to the tech on the phone up pops a download box saying the download was corrupt and asked if I wanted to download again so I click yes it starts and get stuck at 6% and just sits there for a half hour. So i reboot and the phone comes back up no issues other than no 4G still So my questions is maybe the file was corrupt and never installed right the first time so if I do a factory reset will that put the old firm ware back on it and then ask me to update again?

I have already asked it to check for updates and it says non available.

Thanks to anyone that can help

Check your current firmware version and see if it says 1.47.651.1 . If it does, you're already updated and when you do a factory reset, it will still be version 1.47.651.1. Firmware replaces the factory version with this version.
