Factory resetting new phone?

So I will receive my new white GS3 32GB this morning and am planning on hard resetting it before I set it up.

Am I the only one that does this every time they get a new phone? I assume there are not issues with this as far as activation and such go.

I would advise calling in and getting it switched over first before you even turn it on for the first time. Makes activation a breeze because it should do it hands free while you are on the phone with them. Then I don't see any harm in doing a reset. Just my 2 cents
