AC Question
I am in Canada, I am on Virgin Mobile Canada. When the phone tries to register on the Virgin 4G network, it eventually fails to register and states to try again later.
Same problem happens with a Telus SIM card.
I am able to register to network with Rogers and Fido SIM cards. (Fido runs off Rogers network)
Phone's supported bands:
GSM spec 850/900/1800/1900
3G spec 900/2100
LTE spec B1/3/7/8/20
Rogers supported LTE bands: 2/4/5/7 and 700mhz
Virgin Mobile Canada(Bell) LTE bands: 2/4/5/7 and 700 mhz
Telus supported LTE Bands: 2/4/5/7 and 700 mhz
I just don't understand why the phone shows a listing for Virgin Mobile, Telus and Rogers but won't allow me to register on the Virgin or Telus networks.
I have verified my APN settings and verified the sim card is working.
I was hoping some one might be able to shed some light on the difference between the Rogers and Virgin Mobile Networks to help me understand the problem. I am not sure if this is android related or firmware. Would an upgrade from Android 6 to Android 7 possibly help?
Thanks for any help.
