[INFO]FALSE ALARM!!

The concern (crossed out, below) that the Kernel included with this ROM was the wrong one seems to have been misplaced. A user on XDA said his download had the wrong version, and Freeza said he may have messed up, but after checking with a bunch of users, here and on XDA, it appears that Freeza did not make a mistake. If you flashed this ROM, and the Kernel date shown in Settings / About device is April 15th, you have the right Kernel. Sorry for the confusion
.[/INFO]

It appears that Freeza accidentally included the leaked MC3 Kernel in the MD4 ROM files (Odexed and De-odexed) that I linked to in post #2 this thread:http://forums.androidcentral.com/sprint-galaxy-s-iii/272331-your-way-update-md4.html .

This ONLY affects rooted users who flashed the files included in post #2. If you followed the steps in post #1, you can ignore this.

This is easy to fix, and there you have two choices. Freeza will post updates ROMs, and as soon as he does I'll post updated links in the the original thread.

Alternately, you can just download and flash the correct Kernel from the link below. There's no need to to do a factory reset or lose any data.

1. Do another Nandroid backup
2. Wipe cache, wipe dalvik
3. Flash Kernel
4. Reboot

Stock MD4 Kernel

Thanks meyer. Didn't see that over at xda. Their threads move so freaking fast at times.

Interesting didn't flash the kernal but went and checked to what it should be and it should be April 15 date and that is what mine is, oh well.

That's why I use odin flashables if I'm going to a stock rom. Gotta get it before the devs pick at it. Not that freezas work isn't any good, (it's normally awesome) but sometimes you get flukes like this.

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

Am I overlooking it, or does this not include the photosphere that I seen was supposed to be packaged with premium suite?

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

So flashing the kernel above would rectify the mistake? Sorry to ask so many questions, better safe than sorry though!

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

I tried downloading the kernel from the link but it says that the file is not found..

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

Also mine also says April 15. So does that mean I have the right one?

Freeza may have re-uploaded the files. I'll check this evening and see what's going on.

Yes, the 15th is the correct MD4 version. Did you follow post #1 or post #2 instructions?

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

I followed the post #2 instructions, and I have April 15 as the date on my kernel..

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

I followed post #2 as well and have April 15.

Re: OOPS! Minor problem with rooted MD4 ROM upgrade1

Interesting. Maybe Freeza fixed it and didn't bother to tell anyone.
