Question Family link with split households

Hello, so my 8yo son got a new phone from his mum for Christmas. We want to manage it with Google family link.

But here's the difficult bit...

At my house he has a tablet, and at his mums house he has one which are both being monitored with Google family link different email addresses. Neither of us want either of these systems monitored by either of us. But we both want access to his phone as that will be going between each houses.

Can we both monitor his new phone with Google family link(with our own accounts) without accessing the other house tablets?

I'm guessing which ever email address we use of his will allow access to that one other tablet.

For any payments ect.. Being seperate houses we don't want to mix finances for obvious reasons.
