family plan upgrade question

There are 4 lines in my family plan

My number is not eligible for an upgrade. However my brother's line is available.

I was wondering if his account can be upgraded and we swamp SIM chips??

Yes. Its referred to as a cross upgrade. Just make sure the rep knows what they are doing and dont scan any new sim cards at the time of upgrade then you both keep your same phone numbers and you put your sim into the new phone. Now after the upgrade is complete make sure the rep fixes both lines so they reflect the actual phones being used on those lines and adds the appropriate data plans and insurance if wanted.

Does the $99 price refer to upgrades as well? I talked to a att rep at 611 and she said that I did qualify for the $99 but she didnt seem to know what she was talking about.
