Just wanted to share my experience with my battery life.

I most use forum app, social, text and here is my on screen time for today.

I've yet to get 6 hours but I'm very pleased. The best I've gotten is over 4 hours with 3 hours of voice calls. Needless to say I'm very happy.

Glad to hear it! I have been very impressed with this phone's battery life and radios. Awesome that you have had a solid experience! I have gotten almost 8 hours running it all the way down to the end lol.

I sold my pixel recently and pixel is definitely a great phone but honor 8 has way better battery life. I think kirin 950 chipset battery efficiency is awesome.

I think my battery might not be as good as it was when I got it about two months ago, but it's still really good - especially compared to my other Android phones/experiences. It's rare that I ever have it down to less than 25% at the end of the day, even with heavier use (ie, Netflix, web browsing, Facebook, a few calls). I'm very happy with the experience. And the quick charging makes my life so much easier. I love never having to worry about only having a half hour to leave my apartment and my phone won't charge fast enough.

Coming from an Exynos S7E, I knew battery life would take a hit and so far I'm not that impressed with it. I've been using the phone since 2 days and managed to get only 3 hours SOT on Nougat. I don't have any special settings to minimize battery drain, though I do turn off NFC/Bluetooth/Wi-Fi when not in use. I'll give it a few more days until I decide to stick with the Honor 8 or go back to the S7E.

My battery life is not as good since the 7.0 Nougat Emui 5.0 update, and I used the phone for a week straight before coming to this conclusion.

Because EMUI 5 does the opposite to 4.1 and white lists all apps instead of you having to do it manually.

I found this to be kind of annoying. It's funny how you get used to one thing, have it change and then you don't like the change.

My Usage after nougat 7.0. I do think that I am getting slightly less battery compared to marshmallow 6.0 but still very good.

Unfortunately with Android, it is difficult to point the culprit in battery department. It is mostly one or more rogue apps that may be accounting to your bad battery life. So ensure that is indeed the case.

If everything fails, I would recommend a hard reset or factory reset, use the phone from 100% to 0% before you charge again. That will certainly help.

I was confused about it myself when I started the beta. I was expecting improved doze but it was a lot worse.
