I had planned to wait for the S23 series but instead pulled the trigger on a Galaxy S22 Ultra-burgundy.

I have nothing but appreciation and respect for my Note 9. It's been a fantastic phone, and ran almost faultlessly in 3 and a half years.

But moving on and looking forward to new things.

Fare thee well note 9.

Pretty much

Exactly a Note except in name. Full S pen functionality with the S pen embedded in the phone, squared off corners, wider screen. Plus the same battery as last year's S21 Ultra even with the S pen. Same but improved cameras as the S21 Ultra.

It is literally the best of both worlds.

I'm like you. I love my note 9 for many reasons but my main reason is I use it as the controller/view screen for my old Mavic Pro drone. DJI still insists that the Note 9 is NOT compatible with the pro, but it's run flawlessly for the past 3500 miles that I've flown it. Not ready to update my drone at this time either.
Anyone it there know if the newer phone will work with an old drone like the MP?

I've been thinking: Samsung says that their future phones will cycle through 4 Android OS updates. How long would lifecycle for future Samsung phones be?
