Fascinate and captivate hacking

Hey guys, AT&T recently took over for alltel around here, and a friend of mine is fed up with the buggy touchwiz interface. I have done some research, but is it as simple as it is for us?

I love our CWM and the ease of the fascinate flashing, kind of hoping the captivate is as easy
