Fascinate signal and 3g problems

Is anyone having problems dropping 3g? usually I only get two bars no matter where I go. Signal strength stays around 96 to 108 db. and fixes?

What *228 thing? I haven't heard of this one.

Update: Never mind. I decided to take the same approach you do to flashing things, just try it and see what happens. It seems to have helped. Thanks Mike.

Mine has been dropping to 1x a lot too since 2.6

Has a lot to do with area. I had the Droid x for the longest time with the same issue. Then I got the incredible then the fascinate. All see to have weak signals in the exact same areas.

Try the *228 option one and two.

Dial *228 from your phone and choose option two. That will refresh your PRL which is your roaming capabilities. Basically refreshes which towers you phone will connect to (adds new ones if new ones have been established.) Or you can just dial *22899 and that will take you directly to it without having to choose option 2.

i done *228 since sept and still goes down to 1d on the 3g. I heard they had a bug since day one. I had the same problem with the 2.1 os So who knows
