Fascinate's Bluetooth won't turn on

The bluetooth on my fascinate will not turn on, it's worked before but now it won't turn on. When I go to about/status it says bluetooth address unavailable. Any help would be appreciated. I did a factory reset and it still doesn't come on.

return to verizon. i'm on my 2nd fascinate because my wifi keeps dying. definitely a hardware issue. so make a call to vzw and they'll send you a replacement.

My problem is similar, but the bluetooth does turn on. (most of the time)

I have a Kenwood car radio that I hook-up to. I ran the initial pairing and connection, it worked just fine. But now, every time I start the car, I have to go into the SF's bluetooth settings menu, long press on the device name, choose "options", and check the "Phone - Use for phone audio" checkbox.

I wish there was a way I can get the phone and radio to connect automatically without going through this extra step each time.

I need to find out how to get mine to auto connect to my radio also.

Anyone have any ideas?

yeah the bluetooth is really rough around the edges. I think we need to wait for 2.2 or 2.3 for it to be stable.

for testing, I shut OFF my earpiece... what's taking up 15% of battery? BLUETOOTH. not paired, not doing anything. at all. just... active on the phone. and even when i try to use it properly, it will toggle the phone screen on so pocket dialing is an embarrassing issue. normally I use it locked, and hit the earpiece button to engage calls and hang up. on the android OS, the earpiece command means just toggle off that as a sound input/output... and then the screen comes on and the call continues on the phone!!! ARGH.

I'm sure it will get better soon.
