Fast charging doesn't work whatsoever

Last Thursday I believe, I woke up, put my phone on the charger like usual, came back to it minutes later expecting it to be much higher than it said. I looked in the notifications screen and found "Cable charging". So what do I do? I switch the cable as I've had the problem before expecting it to be an easy fix. nope, that doesn't fix it either. So I thought it was the adapter because I found that the apple adapter charged it a lot faster than the samsung. I order the aukey qualcomm 2.0 certified charger and the expower 15000mah (also 2.0 certified as well) battery with a solar panel built in. I found that not only did they all not register with the s6 to fast charge but they were all estimated the same amount of time to charge. So I thought if they were right on point then they all probably were working just fine and it was the phone instead. (Note: I tried a wide variety of cables and even some that worked with fast charging before this headache.) I tried restoring and that didn't work either so it has to be the phone. Any suggestions maybe before I have to open my wallet more to get it looked at/fixed?

If it's still under warranty you don't need your wallet. (If you're in the US, the carrier should swap it with a refurb if it's more than 2 weeks old - or a new phone if it isn't.)

Otherwise, it could be a bad charging port or a bad charging circuit in the phone. There's no way to tell without looking.

Make sure you back up everything you don't want to lose - the first step in a repair is a factory reset (for their protection - they can't steal any of your data that way), which wipes everything. See Backing up an Android Device
 
My fast charging quit just a few months in. I took it back to my carrier and they sent it away. It came back within a week, no charge, and the work order said "minor component replaced." It's been fine ever since.

Yes, as others say you're going to have to send it for repair if fast charging is that crucial to you. I personally have never and will never use it. I never need fast charging since I have wireless chargers at home and work and I don't want to risk potential damage by excess heat or shorten the usable life of the battery.
