Anyone having trouble with your Note 8 not fast charging? I have it turned on but it still doesn't show its fast charging. I even connected the original cables to my wireless pad and still doesn't fast charge.

Wireless charging is not "fast charging." It can take 2-2.5 hrs to do full charge.

Your wireless charging pad needs to be a fast charging pad which if connected to fast power supply, will charge only 1.4 times as fast as a conventional wireless charger.
Also, you must have fast wireless charging turned on in your phone settings. You will find that under Advanced Features/Accessories.

I have a replacement Note 8 that I got about 2 weeks ago. No issues with fast charging unless sometimes I use a Micro Usb cord with the Usb-C adapter -that depending on the cord I use may or may not allow fast charging. Right now, I'm using an Lg V20 Usb-c cord and it's fast charging like it should.

May also be variable when plugged direct to an outlet or say on an extension cord.

Are you getting the slow charging message when you plug in your cable? Occasionally I have been getting the slow charge message when I plug in my factory charger and cable. I have three Samsung chargers and cable, including the one from the wireless charge pad I got when I pre-ordered.

I'll unplug and plug back in when I get the message and it will usually go into fast charging at that point. When it gives the slow charge message, the estimated charge time can be 3-4 hours but then I reseat it and goes back to over 1 hour.

It's kind of irritating and with other threads about moisture detection message... I am wondering if it is an issue with bad USB connectors.

It was happening so often I had contacted my AT&T rep since I got my phone using my company's corp account to take it to a nearby store and pick up a replacement but such a hassle so I decided to clean the USB contact on the phone and I've been testing all day doing plug ins and using my different cables and adapters and outlets and no slow charge message.

I am regularly using canned air so I don't feel any dust or debris was causing the issue... but cleaning the contact seems to work... maybe some residue that keeps it from making solid connection and charging at proper power

As an added note... I haven't had any freezes charging or random reboots since last reported freezing (separate thread) which I can't remember when so that's been great. if the contact cleaning fixes my slow charge message from powering up, I'll be totally happy with the phone.

Try this... Below is pic what I used to clean the connector... I found a hair pin from my daughters room... thinner than a paperclip wire thickness and plastic coated to boot so no scratching the connector and tested by slowly inserting on both sides of connector and just the exact width to insert. And using a lens wipe with a alcohol mix, I drape the wipe tissue over the hairpin and gently insert and move along the each side rubbing the connector. Let dry and been testing and no issues... so far.

Yea. I'm thinking I need to clean the contacts on the phone somehow.

Just to update from my last post... since I cleaned the USBC connector using cleaning wipe on the actual connector, I've done a lot of short charges since then for the past two weeks using all the different cables I had used before and no longer getting random "Slow Charge" pop ups anymore. Must have been some residue on the connecter.

So I'm wondering if people get fast charging issues or even moisture message... try cleaning the USB contact inside the port on your phone. If residue was able to set off a slow charge message and even seen it knock my fast charge to slow charge while connected, I think it could also be possible it set off a moisture message.

Anyways, my phone issues seemed to have been sorted out and enjoying the phone.
