Rogers Galaxy S8 Fast wireless charging not working after the update

Hi there I'm wondering if anyone else having this issue it's everywhere on Samsung forums YouTube so many other places this news so many people facing this issue it's very annoying takes 6+ hours to charger Samsung hasn't made any announcement about this yet plz help me spread. This news

Maybe they've been so focused on S9 and Oreo because even Note owners, that are on 7.1.x are having troubles as well.

Possible that not all parts involved, charger incl. we're sourced from same vendor or production.

Separating carrier code from the system will be a win-win.

a few posts of problems with wireless charging (including mine), but prior to the update. if yours fails outright, it's in-line with other's problems. mine took 2 trips to Samsung repair before fixing.

I have the same problem. It's a known issue now so I'm hoping the next security update will fix it.
I know about 20 people with sg8 or sg8+ and I'm the only one with the problem so I don't think it's too widespread. I'm on Verizon if it matters.

I got a new S8+ a week or so ago from Best Buy ($465 on Verizon payments!!!) and also purchased a Samsung fast wireless charger. They worked great together for one day, then the phone simply stopped recognizing the charger at all. Wired charging was fine, and other phones worked fine on the wireless charger. Almost 2 hours on the phone with Samsung support, no joy. Took it to my local Verizon, and they couldn't figure it out. Best Buy replaced it with a brand new one and it's working fine on the same wireless charger. Go figure.

my S8 won't wireless charger at all anyone. going on 2 weeks now... not wanting to go the Samsung warranty route due to bad/slow service that I've heard about. #firstworldproblems

I went back to AT&T after being away. They have a nice deal on Note 8, buy a 2nd with $700 credit toward another Galaxy. Handy if you like to have one for backup or testing.

I had hoped they would FedEX overnight with advance exchange when my S7 died on day #4 but no such luck, but did arrive in a week. I had to pay off the first though before they would. Three years of mobility insurance didn't seem to help.

If I drove the 80 miles to nearest AT&T store could have done it all in an afternoon.

This morning when I put it down, it wouldn't recognize the charger again. So infuriating. I hate to have to go thru the replacement process again.

I had my phone back (twice, because the first time they only replaced the coil which didn't fix it) within one week of shipping. The service is actually pretty quick.

If anyone is still following this: wireless charging is still not working BUT I was on a phone call today, had the phone sitting on the charging puck just because it was a convenient place to sit it, and when the caller hung up MY PHONE STARTED CHARGING! If I take the phone off the charger and put it back on, it won't charge...but if I call the phone and hang up it will start charging again. How utterly bizarre is that???

I hadnt notice any charge problems but I did find that just now with the phone on the wireless charger (thats how it allways charges) it was hitting %100.. then would quickly fall under and start the charge cycle over again hitting green within 30 second. This led to a loop with the screen turning on each time it hit %100. I'll have to reboot it and see if its a glitch. It hasnt been charged in 32 hours before I put it on the charger so I know nothing is using a silly amount of power.
