So I got my S7 today, love the phone so far. I went and got a Samsung fast wireless charging pad from best buy. I put the phone on at 33% and it says 1h 55m to full charge.
Am I missing something?

It usually won't take that long. It will say so too on the wired charger but it's not such an accurate calculation. I'm not sure if it gets better with time or once it actually starts charging. Also remember that fast charging is most effective for the 'first half' of your battery, then the system regulates the charging speed and it slows down the fuller your battery is (the last 10% is the slowest in Fast Charge).

Settings/battery and make sure fast charging is enabled

I just checked and fast charging is enabled. I switched it off and back on maybe it was just something weird in the system hopefully.

Hopefully it does get better, wireless charging is great but if it's supposed to be fast charging I'd like it to work at least haha

When I plug in the Fast Charger (wired) it also says 1.20+ minutes to go from 21% to 100%. It doesn't, though, it takes less I think. Haven't really needed it! :D Battery is great!

Im still doing tests now , but so far im not that impressed.

I got the wireless faster charger.

Amazon.com: Fast Charge Wireless Charger, Nekteck Qi Wireless Charging Pad for Galaxy S7, S7/S6 Edge Plus Note 5 and All Qi-Enabled Devices - Black (Adaptive Fast Charger NOT Included): Cell Phones & Accessories

So far It takes a little over 2h:30 min.. That was with a thin case and the phone off. Now I'm trying with no case and phone off. So far an hour in I got 40% charge so were are still looking at 2H:30min.. yes fast charge is on.. but damn I thought it would be faster then that. Case desent seem to make much of a difference once you are connected on.. but I'm afraid to see how long it takes when I leave the phone on.. 3h? ahhhh

My Tylt Vu (standard wireless charger) charges a near dead battery in less than 2:45.

i have the same pad, and a slow Samsung pad arriving tomorrow,

Just checking the power brick you are using is the Samsung fast charging one otherwise the fast charing qi will not work correctly. Mine is really quick and I am happy with it.

Also try a different outlet. At my work one outlet will charge normal then the next outlet will charge fast. I have same thing at home..

(Adaptive Fast Charger NOT Included) QC 2.0 Adaptive Fast Charger is required for the fast charge wireless charging feature, please use the Samsung original or Nekteck 18W QC 2.0 adapter as its power source.

Are you using the Samsung plug/cord?

I'm using the fast charger that came with the phone. I ordered a QC 2.0 18w wall charger and will see if that matters. On the website it does say to use the one that came with the phone. I should get it by tomorrow and see if it makes a difference as some have suggested.

just popped the phone on.. it says fast chaging wireless.. I opened up the Ampere app.. the highest I'm seeing is 800ma and down. I dont know if I trust the app.. its drops down to 500 then back up. mostly around 500-600ma... ahhhhh why is nothing ever easy..

edit:

just tried another usb cable and plugged it straight to the wall. (not on surge protector. Still getting same.. starts out high goes to 800 ish then goes up and down to 500ma.

Edit again: just tried another socket with nothing even plugged in and got the same result.. on the website they said note 5 and s6+ takes 50min.. so something is up. all thats left is a separate 2.0 charger or this unit is junk..

what I dont get is how does the phone know its fast charging if its only seeing 700ma or less.

Keep in mind that wireless fast charging is considered fast relative to regular wireless charging. I don't think we are supposed to be expecting the same speed as wired fast charging.
