Favorite tray issue & cannot create folder

Hello,

I recently got a Galaxy Nexus phone and I have a couple of strange issues.

1. Favorites tray

I was expecting to get a favorites tray as shown in this video:

With 5 icons including the apps icon and the phone icon.

Instead, I have this:

I can only choose 1 favorite (here the camera), and this has to be an application (no folder, no shortcut such as Gmail label...)

Not happy.

2. cannot create folders in the any home screen.

My understanding is that you just need to drag and drop one icon over another (like with iPhone) and that's it. As shown in this video:

When I tap and hold an icon, the only thing that happens is that the tray is replaced by a trash bin so that I can remove the icon from the screen. Nothing else.
No 'blue line' on the right/left of the screen, no circle when I drag the icon over another one.

The only thing I can do is tap and hold an empty space in the screen, and this happens:

(Which helps me create folders, but different ones)

For the record, my Android version is 4.0.2 and my operator is SmartOne (Hong Kong).
Quick question: do some operators customize the Android OS?

Clear you launcher defaults. Go into your settings > apps > all and find which launcher you're currently using (possibly ADW) and clear the defaults. Hit home and select the Android Launcher instead.

Looks like you restored old apps and you got old launcher pro launcher on it.

Wow, that was fast!

So I solved my problem.

- Found the launcher was 'SmartOne Home'. tried to stop it from the Running apps list, but it came back every time.
- Couldn't find the Android Launcher from the apps list.
- Installed Launcher pro from Google Play
- I got asked which launcher I wanted to use when tapping the home button. Then only I could see Android Launcher in the list. Selected it and checked the 'don't ask next time' button, et voila!

Thanks for your help.
Now I should get back to work, my boss is staring at me :-[
