Yesterday I odin'd the official EDO1 and the CWM all file. Since then, everytime I reboot the phone I go through a series of FC's until I can get into Terminal Emulator to fix permissions, and its erasing ALL my information every time... I'm totally confused as to what to do next, I would at this point just like it to be workable. Coming from EB01 2.9.2 although I did flash ec10 kernel. Any help would be appreciated.

there are those much more qualified than I but a quick question. Which EC10 kernel did you flash, voodoo or non? If it was the voodoo version (by accident or not) make sure you enabled the lagfix.
I would suggest cache and Davlik wipes and then reinstalling ROM only. Let it boot and then go back and get the EC10 kernel if you want.

NV.. and I've tried the cache and dalvik wipe over and over.. and still the same results.. I'm completely lost at this point.. and nothing I've done is working. Very sad here. :(

it was definitely a NV.. I've always stayed NV and didn't think Voodoo was a major difference over switching too. I've tried numerous times to wipe cache and dalvik before ROM.. with the same results. I think what I've done is I've not flashed to ED01. And honestly I'm afraid to... I totally need some extra help here.

No worries. Like I said someone with much more knowledge than I will be along soon.

Have you reflashed the Rom?

Since you are losing everything with every boot, have you gone in and done a data wipe and then flash the ROM?

I've had times after flashing that I get the FCs from hell....not a big deal so don't worry. I would just do a data wipe and then reflash the ROM.

Did you make a nandroid backup? If so - try restoring.

I would flash Landshark's ED01 package via Odin, flash CWM via Odin, and reboot.

If you're still getting the FC errors (I went through this yesterday) I would flash back to stock, flash Landshark's ED01 package via Odin, flash CWM, boot into CWM, flash the rom, enable lagfix, and reboot.

This is what I did.. step by step yesterday. Coming from SC 2.9.2 ec10 NV. Tell me what I missed?
Landshark's Official Odin Froyo ED01..

To install ODIN packages on your device
1.Download and install drivers on your computer HERE

2. Next you will need the ED01 Debloated/Deodexed Froyo tar file which will be placed in the PDA section of ODIN:
Debloated
Use this version if you are coming from an Eclair build (EA28, DL09, DH12, DI01.)
This version will wipe your data, so make sure you back it up:
ED01DB_DO_SHARK.tar
Use this version if you are already on a Froyo Build (DL30, EB01, EC01, or stock ED01.)
This version will not wipe your data:
ED01DB_DOx_SHARK.tar

TIP:
After downloading these files you will need to extract the .tar.md5 file from the .rar file. For visual aid instructions on "how to extract the file" and "how to use ODIN", see post #'s 3 and 4 of DroidXcon's original ODIN thread .

3.) You will need to download the ODIN application tool found here ODIN or ODIN MIRROR
4.) You will also need the latest recovery, CWM-recovery-all-3-30-fix, download it HERE
5.) If your phone is plugged into your computer, unplug it now.
6.) If your phone is not powered down, power it down now.
7.) Remove battery from phone.
8.) Launch ODIN on PC.
9.) Plug USB cable into phone.
10.) Plug your Fascinate into the PC via the USB cable that came with your phone.
11.) Press and hold the volume down key until (approx 3 secs) you see a gigantic yellow triangle on your phone, and your phone will be in download mode. The first thin rectangle in the upper left of the ODIN applicate should also turn yellow and identify a com port. You can now release the volume key.

12.) Click on the PDA button in ODIN

Triple check that you pushed the PDA button. Do NOT click the Phone button prior to continuing to step 13. If you choose Phone, you will have bought your Fascinate a one-way ticket to hell.

13.) Find and double click on the ED01.tar.md5 file you downloaded in step 2 above & click the Start button. (This should take approx 3 to 6mins)
14.) Phone will power down when finished.
15.) Remove USB cable.
16.) Close, then reopen ODIN.
17.) Reconnect phone to USB cable as described above in step 11.
18.) Click on the PDA button in ODIN. (Don't forget the warning about making sure you clicked the PDA button)
19.) Find and double click the CWM-recovery-all-3-30-fix.tar file you downloaded in step 4 above & once again click the Start button. (This should only take 7 seconds)
20.) Phone will power down again.
21.) Close ODIN
22.) Reinsert battery.
23.) Power phone and wait to boot. (Should take approx. 4 mins)

Which package did you flash DO (EA28, DL09, DH12, DI01) or DOx (DL30, EB01, EC01, or stock ED01)?

Try to follow the steps again. Sounds like it was a bad install somewhere along the line.
Again, I've ODINed and flashed over and over and at least once a week, for some reason, it just doesn't take. Go back and over the steps.....battery out/USB port in the back/don't let it boot between ODIN of ED01 and CWM etc.

I would recommend you use the Data wipe version (ED01DB_DO_SHARK.tar) just to be sure you get a clean slate.

jrs1035 makes a good call.....the nandroid backup would be the first way to go.

I have no need for a back up at this point. I've already done a data wipe in trying to fix this. I will try the DO_SHARK.tar.. I had done the DOx. will keep you posted.

Okay.. so I'm still getting FC's.. and losing all my information after rebooting. >.< Of course only a couple of FC's.. since I have no apps or anything installed.

FYI.. don't know if this is of any importance.. but it says my baseband version is EC01.

The backup thinking was if you had done one before the fc problem had started you could do a restore. It.s a good idea to do one once you get a decent set up going just in case.....i do one about every other week if I.m flashing heavy.
