Finally got my gear vr but I don't see any games that say "download" as in the instructions. Will I need to call them?

Gear VR

Once it downloads the oculus app, it should have you set up an account. Once the account is set you should see the list.

What Gator352 said. When I first plugged my phone into the VR is made me download the Oculus app and setup and account. Once I was setup I was able to download the free games.

That happened just as you said but the store doesn't show any but the normally free apps and paid ones. I submitted a support request on the oculus site.

The demo movies are kind of cool. I'm surprised by the coarse picture. Is that a screen resolution issue or are they trying to control file size?

Try logging in on your pc. Then go back to the gear vr. See what happens.

I had the same problem. Downloaded the app no games. Someone suggested clearing the data and cache of the app, still no games. Tried calling the 800 number and got a currently unavailable message. Then about a week later, out of the blue, logged into the app again and the games were there.

Where did you see the games? Was it under library? Perhaps under the uninstalled tab.

Don't they show up under "Not Installed"?

That's where support said to look. Not there. Those tabs only show while phone is removed from headset. I'm in an email correspondence currently. They asked for mac address, imei, user name, email. Had me log out and in and delete and reinstall. Shouldn't be such a pia.

Been looking at some of the free stuff and the novelty is wearing thin fast. A 3d movie might be fun.

ALMOST SOLVED

I got an answer from Oculus with a link to Samsung promotions saying "shipment" is pending. Pic below.
What gets me is a card came in the package with a number to call for help redeeming 6 game bundle. That number gave the bad line sound at first but I tried again and had 54 callers ahead of me. Went through some prompts and got a Prizelogic operator who promptly refered me to Oculus chat. After a few days of email back and forth Oculus gives me a link to Samsung which says the software which will appear in the account is awaiting "shipping."

Is this what the rest of you went through?

Seems like it might be a Samsung issue, but I don't think it is.

I was able to redeem my free games by using someone else's headset (my submission had not yet been approved).

This is a weird issue you're having for sure. :(

Never did get them. Finally was dumped back to prize logic. Operator referred to supervisor who said they'd email back. They didn't. I felt they wouldn't.

The whole thing has stunk so far thanks Verizon. We start with offering a gear s2 or vr to learn only after purchase they'd only offer the vr. Got offered the bogo. That debit card hasn't come yet. Purchase late March.

I'm not wasting more time on phone over the games. What I've seen is poor so far. One good thing was Google street view. Wow, does that ever make you feel like you're there.

The debit card at $791 I'll have to pursue. I'm really disgusted with Verizon. I'll never again get involved in one of their promos, or any one that involves 4 companies.

Coolest game that I found, which I'm now addicted to, is a Casino Texas Hold'em game. I forget the exact name, but it makes you look and feel as if you're actually sitting at the table in a casino playing poker against actual people around the world.
