I noticed that while my Captivate was plugged into my Linux PC to charge it gave me the option to setup a GSM modem in Network Manager. So I figured I would give it a try. Setup was quick and easy, I did find that I had to turn USB Debugging off, but once the Captivate was set to PC Internet, I had my Linux PC picking up a clean internet connection through the phone!
Simple as can be to setup. I've now got emergency internet access on the road for my Fedora 13 Netbook.
