Few questions about the Moment

I have a palm pre, and like most pre users I love WebOS. For weeks I have been anticipating the release of the EVO, however, seeing as I don't have 4g coverage and probably wont for a while, paying $10 extra is a joke. So my next option on sprint would be the Moment. Do you guys think it would be a good replacement for my pre? Are there any pre users that have switched to the moment? What do you think of it

There are loads of people that switched from the pre to moment. And the moment just got the upgrade to 2.1. However Id wait for the EVO coming June 4th

From what I have read about the Moment (dont personally own one) the device is great. Many swore by the device before the 2.1 update, and the 2.1 update has made the user experience even better. I would think if you are looking for a change, want the Android but aren't over the top thrilled about everything that the EVO has to offer, the Moment is a great alternative.

i just switched from the pre to the moment and i havn't looked back. i thought i would miss webos but with everything this phone has i couldn't be happier. it's your choice if you want to wait but the 1.5 was ok but the 2.1 is great and will handle everything your pre did plus it has over 30,000 apps to make up for somethings you did with your pre i had my pre for 8 months and only liked it when i modded it but this phone works great as is.
And if you use launcherpro beta it is like the homescreen on the pre with the dedicated icons on bottom and all.

Totally agree... the Moment with 2.1 is indeed pretty nice!

I also just installed LauncherPro and "WOW" ... a really, REALLY nice improvement to the Android 2.1 Homescreen, provides 5 or 7 screens if you want/need and the "all screens view when pressing home" is just superb!

Loving my Moment, now...

I recently switched from Pre to Moment. I am happy with the Moment but I wouldn't say that I haven't looked back. WebOS is definitely nicer, easier to use, and handles multi-tasking better than Android. It took some tinkering to get this phone the way I like it...but now that its customized to my liking I am happy. Overall I would pick the Moment mostly because of the Pres hardware felt so cheap. I would consider going back to WebOS if they build good sturdy phone that doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic.
