A great little app I found...

File Share - AppBrain

It's free, and its VERY simple to use. Pick what files you want to make available for sharing, then visit the local network address from your PC browser. Nothing to it. Can create multiple directories and password protection, as well as upload to the phone. I had tried other wifi network sharing apps, but had trouble getting them to work. File Share was just turn-it-on-and-go. I love the simplicity.
