Android Central Question

Hi, when I initially set up my new pixel 6 I did the file transfer thing. But while transfering 3000+ MP3 my old phone shut down.

Tonight I joined both phones by cable, opened files app on the pixel. In the menu on the left, was an entry for "Android" , tapping it took me to the old phones file structure. I went to music, started to transfer and the Pixel shut down due to running out of battery. (Should of checked).

Anyway now they are both charged, but the other phone no longer appears in the files menu, and I can't find an answer as to why.

Anyone help please?

My suggestion would take a bit longer, but connect the old phone with the files to the computer, make a temp folder on the computer and transfer all the files to the computer. Once done, disconnect the phone, then connect the new phone and copy files from the computer to the new phone. You can make a new folder on the phone if needed; however, I believe my 4XL came with an empty Music folder.

If not familiar with connecting to a windows PC, after connecting the cords pull down on the shade on the phone and look for, "Charging this device via USB"
Tap and it will expand to add "Tap for more options"
Tap again (sometimes a password will be required), look for and pick the option "File Transfer / Android Auto" and then under This PC on the computer you will see the option for the phone, it is handled from there on just like a standard folder.

And now, your MP3 files are on the computer for backup.
