file transfering - usb problem?

i am having a weird problem with my phone, after i tried installing and uninstalling the drivers by itself or through Kies, it finally worked, and my laptop recognized my phone. but when i tried to transfer any files, it wont transfer, and it just says downloading and the details are calculating... can anyone help? thanks

Reboot/restart the laptop?
Try a different USB port?
Try a different machine?

(just shots in the dark, honestly)

thanks i also already tried those, it just doesnt connect, and it doesnt connect through bluetooth neither

sorry got the bluetooth to work but not the usb still.

Turn on USB debugging, and plug in to USB. If it does not get the option in the Notifications to enable USB storage, and you try on multiple machines, your USB port on the phone may be bad. May want to call a local ATT store and see if there is a local service center you can go to. Otherwise... warranty repair phone call to papa ATT, I think is in your future.

the weird thing is both me n my friends galaxy wont connect to my laptop, but droidx n incredible can, and both of our galaxys can connect to other computers. weird..
