Filemanager picture problem with galaxy S3

When I connect my new Verizon Galaxy S3 to my PC filemanager (Win7), I cannot see the photos. Filemanager only displays the name of the picture, type and size information. I only see an icon. Since the file name is only a number assigned by the camera, and no date, I can't find my new photos to download. The phone just did an update to some files that didn't help.

Unfortunately this is normal behavior - if you want to see thumbnails, copy all of the photos to a temporary directory on your PC and that will automatically happen.
Sorry, there's no way around it - Google dropped support for that older connection method.

You can also download AirDroid from Google Play and use the browser of choice to download certain pictures. AirDroid will let you see the pictures within the browser so you can just select the option ones you want.
